Ukraine to Face Belgium in the Quarterfinals of the Billie Jean King Cup Finals 2026
The official draw ceremony for the Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Finals 2026 took place in Shenzhen, where the eight participating nations learned their paths toward the tournament’s biggest prize. The Finals will be held at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Centre Arena from September 22–27.
Defending world champions Italy, aiming to secure a third consecutive title, will face host nation China in the quarterfinals. In the remaining quarterfinal ties, Ukraine will take on Belgium, Kazakhstan will face Spain, and Czechia will meet Great Britain.
The Billie Jean King Cup is the world’s largest annual international team competition in women’s sport. This year, a record 148 national teams participated in the tournament.
The Finals lineup features the seven nations that advanced through the April Qualifiers, alongside host nation China. Italy, Belgium, Czechia, and Spain will all be looking to add another Billie Jean King Cup title to their collections, while China, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine will aim to lift the trophy for the first time in history.

For the second consecutive year, the Billie Jean King Cup Finals will feature an eight-team knockout format, matching the structure of the Davis Cup Finals.
Each tie will consist of three matches — two singles and one doubles match. All matches will be played in a best-of-three sets format with tiebreaks.
