ELINA SVITOLINA

Elina Svitolina is the most successful athlete in the history of Ukrainian tennis, a former WTA (Women's Tennis Association) world number three in ranked player. Elina has won 17 WTA singles tournaments, including the 2018 WTA Finals and Ukraine's first-ever Olympic tennis medal (bronze) at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (2021).In 2019, Elina founded the Svitolina Foundation, which aims to support young talented tennis players and help develop tennis and sports in general in Ukraine.

In 2022, at the invitation of President Zelensky, Elina Svitolina became an ambassador of the United24 fundraising platform.

Elina Svitolina gave birth to her daughter in October 2022 and returned to tennis in April 2023. Within the first four months of her return, she won the WTA title in Strasbourg, reached the quarterfinals of Roland Garros, and reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon, beating the world number one along the way. 

Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, Elina Svitolina has been actively working to win. The famous Ukrainian athlete is the voice of Ukraine on the international stage, participates in charity events aimed at raising funds, takes care of young athletes, helps the military, and joins in the reconstruction of destroyed housing and the restoration of educational and medical institutions.
