This victory allowed Ukraine to qualify for the elite group of the Billie Jean King Cup. The Ukrainian national team will play its next match in April 2025.
Elina Svitolina, founder of the Svitolina Foundation, who was unable to play for the national team due to recovery from an injury and surgery but supported the team at matches, shared her impressions: “This victory is not just an achievement in sports, but a real symbol of indomitability. We are grateful to our partners, in particular Nova Poshta, for their strong support, which allows our girls to continue to fight and raise the Ukrainian flag in the international arena in this difficult time.”
It is worth noting that the Svitolina Foundation has managed the Ukrainian national tennis team since the end of last year, and the match in Texas was a home match for the team. This means that the Foundation not only supported the team but also organized the tournament, providing important support and ensuring a high level of competition.
