Svitolina Tennis Camp: Sixth Year and 120 Participants
Svitolina Tennis Camp programme: sixth year and 120 participants.
For the sixth time, the foundation's annual programme, Svitolina Tennis Camp for children under 12, was held. This year's event was held in Lviv, at the modern Leo Sport tennis centre, which has been a partner of the Svitolina Foundation for two years in a row.
‘In this difficult period for Ukraine, it is important to unite, especially when it comes to helping children. We are very pleased to see talented young athletes, future tennis stars from all over Ukraine, on our tennis courts. We want to popularise tennis in our country,’ commented Oleksandr Svishchov, owner of Leo Sport, on the cooperation.
From 7 to 17 September, twenty talented athletes ranked by the Ukrainian Tennis Federation plunged into the atmosphere of professional tennis.
Traditionally, Elina Svitolina, the founder of the Foundation, joined the event to support the participants, share her experience and useful advice with them, and inspire future champions.
The event was led by Mykhailo Filima, head coach of the camp and coach of the Ukrainian national Olympic team. ‘During the programme, the children gained invaluable practical experience, worked on their physical fitness, tennis technique and psychological development,’ said Mikhail Filima.
As a result of the programme, all participants receive individual reports and recommendations from the foundation's experts, as well as the opportunity to participate in future Svitolina Foundation programmes.
The tennis camp is free for participants thanks to the foundation's partners: Nova Poshta, Leo Sport, Adidas, Morshynska, Wilson, Macpaw, and NV.
