Svitolina & Stakhovskyi Tennis Tour by EONIAN TRADE: Supporting Youth Sports by Ukrainian Athletes and Philanthropists

The Svitolina Foundation announces the annual series of junior tournaments, the Svitolina & Stakhovskyi Tennis Tour by EONIAN TRADE—an initiative aimed at developing young Ukrainian tennis players under the age of 14.
The program will be held under the patronage of Ukrainian tennis players Elina Svitolina and Sergiy Stakhovsky, with support from Kharkiv-based businessman and philanthropist, founder of EONIAN TRADE and supervisory board member of FC Metalist 1925, Denys Kovtun.
The first stage of the tournament will take place from May 26 to 31, 2026, at the Tennis Park in Kyiv. Throughout the season, the tour will cover several cities across Ukraine: subsequent stages will be held at the Sofia Tennis Center in Rivne and the modern UNI FORCE Tennis Center in Lviv.
“Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the number of children playing tennis has significantly decreased. We see this trend and understand how important it is to continue encouraging and supporting the younger generation of athletes,” comments Elina Svitolina.
The tournament series was launched in 2023 with the goal of creating systematic support for young talents, shaping the future of Ukrainian tennis, and drawing attention to key challenges in sports.
“In my opinion, youth sports should always be at the center of any sports development strategy. That is why I joined in supporting the programs of the Svitolina Foundation. Due to the war, young athletes are growing up in unequal conditions compared to their peers in other European countries. Many Ukrainian cities are unable to host tournaments, so it is important to unite and create opportunities for children wherever possible,” said Denys Kovtun.
This year, the tournament has been granted Category 1 status and is included in the official calendar of the Tennis Federation of Ukraine. This means participants will earn national ranking points as well as internal tournament points for qualification to the final stage.
The format of the Svitolina & Stakhovskyi Tennis Tour by EONIAN TRADE includes three qualifying tournaments and a final stage (Finals). Based on the results of the qualifying rounds, the top eight boys and girls will advance to the finals, where they will compete for grant support.
In total, 400 participants will take part in the program throughout the year. Thanks to the support of the benefactor, participants are exempt from entry fees and will be provided with meals.
