Setanta Sports will transfer 385 thousand UAH to the Elina Svitolina Foundation
It is a joint merit of everyone who watched the Wimbledon semi-final!
Elina Svitolina’s incredible journey has attracted many tennis fans.
Elina’s story is even more impressive, considering that she recently returned to the court after the birth of her daughter, and in a short time, she reached the top level of the game.
The free broadcast of the Ukrainian match in the Wimbledon semi-finals on setantasports.com was watched by 38,507 unique users.
As it became known before the broadcast, Setanta Sports will transfer UAH 10 to the Elina Svitolina Foundation for each unique viewer. It will bring the total contribution to UAH 385,070.
“Setanta Sports plans to support Elina and other Ukrainian athletes in the future. We will work to ensure that more people learn about such incredible success stories and start cheering for Ukrainian tennis players and beyond,” Setanta Sports Deputy CEO Tamara Badashvili commented on the initiative.
Anna Popovchenko, Director of the Elina Svitolina Foundation, emphasized: “We are grateful to Setanta Sports for their initiative and trust. It is not only a contribution to the Foundation, but also to the development of Ukrainian tennis as a whole. We will use the proceeds to organize a sports and training camp. This year, it will be an anniversary event and will be held for the fifth time for talented Ukrainian tennis players under 12 years old.”
