Mass Youth Sports – The Key to Ukraine’s Athletic Future: A Masterclass by Elina Svitolina and Sergiy Stakhovsky Held in Vinnytsia

On February 4, 2025, a large-scale tennis masterclass took place at Tennis Hall in Vinnytsia, bringing together young tennis players aged 6 to 16. The event gathered around 200 children from various regions of Ukraine, including Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kherson, and others.
Ukrainian tennis legends Elina Svitolina and Sergiy Stakhovsky stepped onto the court alongside the young athletes, sharing their expertise and experience.
"Every opportunity I have to return to Ukraine is a chance to support children who dream of a future in professional sports. In 10 years, grassroots youth sports will allow us to see new faces in Ukrainian sports, so it’s crucial to create opportunities for tennis development in the regions now. I also want to thank the businesses that, despite all challenges, continue to support youth sports and help build the foundation for the next generation," said Elina Svitolina.
Sergiy Stakhovsky added: "Ukrainian junior tennis players prove every day that they have incredible potential. However, in order to grow, they need support, motivation, and the understanding that they are not alone on their journey. We organize these masterclasses to show children that big goals are achievable and that they can do more than just dream—they can turn their dreams into reality in sports."
The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, where children not only trained under the guidance of Ukrainian tennis stars but also received valuable advice, motivation, inspiration for future achievements, and special gifts.
The Svitolina Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to the event’s partners: Nova Poshta, Adidas, UKRSIBBANK, Mercedes-Benz, Tennis Hall, NV, and Setanta Sports. Their support made this day possible.
