Kharkiv, Severodonetsk, Odesa, Dnipro, Kyiv, Lviv… Young tennis players from different parts of Ukraine will participate in Elina Svitolina Tennis Camp in Bulgaria

The annual event of Elina Svitolina Foundation – ES Tennis Camp will be held from 16th till 26th of September, 2022. This is a tennis camp for talented tennis players up to 12 years old from the ranking of the Tennis Federation of Ukraine. Candidates were selected by specialists of the Elina Svitolina Foundation and international experts working with the players of the national teams.

“The age of 12 is a milestone for young tennis players, this is the stage of their development, – says Elina Svitolina. – This year we focused, first of all, on helping the children who were forced to leave their homes. But we realized that the tradition of sports and training camps should not be interrupted because of the war. Young talents must have the opportunity to develop and gain the knowledge and skills they need, so they don’t lose their potential.”

Nine boys and nine girls from Ukraine and four top players from Bulgaria will take part in the camp held in the Bulgarian city of Sozopol at the international tennis center “Tennis Center Santa Marina-Sozopol”. Accommodation, meals and training, as usual, will be free of charge. Participants from Ukraine will be compensated for their travel expenses.

“Such camps have been held by the Elina Svitolina Foundation since the beginning of its existence,” says Anna Popovchenko, director of the foundation. – We analyze the achievements of the participants each time in order to achieve the best possible results. We strive to create all conditions for the children to show significant progress and understand what they are capable of. This is our contribution to their future as professional sportsmen”.

The main coach of the camp, as in previous years, will be an honored coach of Ukraine Alena Svetova. The participants will have tests, general and special physical training, group and individual technical training, tennis training, practice matches, team games to identify leadership qualities. In addition, there are classes – individual and small group – in theory, tactics and psychology, and individual consultations with a psychologist.
