Elina Svitolina is back!
Elina Svitolina returns to the Women’s Tennis Association tour and the first time since 2022, will participate in the Credit One Charleston Open tournament, where she received a wild card from the organizers.
The tournament will take place on 3-9 April.
Also in Charleston, Elina will participate in the Pro Am charity event as part of the Tennis Plays for Peace initiative, which brings together professional tennis players and their fans to support Ukraine during the war.
“Increasing awareness and raising funds for Ukraine is very important to us as a tournament and to our
players. We are passionate about working with Elina, who has a deep and personal understanding of the needs in her home country right now” — said Bob Moran, Credit One Charleston Open Tournament Director and President of Charleston Tennis LLC.
In 2014, Elina reached the third round in Charleston and won 16 singles titles in her career, the last in Chicago in 2021.
