On January 23, 2025, the draw for the qualifying stage of the Billie Jean King Cup took place. Ukraine’s women’s national team, supported by the Svitolina Foundation, learned its opponents in the battle for a spot in the tournament's World Group.

The Ukrainian team will compete against the national teams of Poland and Switzerland. The matches in this group will take place in Poland, the host country.

In 2025, the Billie Jean King Cup format underwent changes:

Qualifying Stage:

• In April, six groups of three teams will compete against each other.
• Group winners will advance to the finals, while the remaining 12 teams, along with 9 teams from Group I, will continue in the playoffs.

Final Stage:

• In November, a knockout tournament will feature the six qualification winners, the reigning champion, and the host country.

Playoffs:

• Also in November, playoff matches will be held. Seven groups of three teams will compete for spots in the 2026 qualifying stage.
