In the next match of the playoff series, which will take place in November 2024, the Ukrainian women's national team will play under the leadership of Ilya Marchenko.

Ilya Marchenko is a professional Ukrainian tennis player, ranked 49th in the ATP world rankings, has many years of experience playing for the men's national team, and understands how the tennis tour and team competitions, including the Davis Cup, work.

"When I was offered the opportunity to lead the women's national team, I didn't hesitate for a minute, even though it was unexpected," commented Ilya Marchenko on his new appointment, "It's a huge honor and responsibility, so I'm very grateful for this opportunity. The national team comes first for me now. I understand my strengths in this role very well and know how I can help our team. Once again, I thank the Svitolina Foundation for their trust. I believe that we can and must fight and defeat the strongest teams in the world. In particular, with our presence and achievements in the international sports arena, we have to remind people that the war is on and people are dying in Ukraine every day."
